Island guide
Fishing charters on Amelia Island
The choice here is not really which captain, it is which water. Inshore means the creeks and flats behind the island, calm and good with children and first-timers. Nearshore and offshore means going out for bottom fish and pelagics, longer days and rougher water. Most people arrive asking for a price and actually need that question settled first.
Checked and updated by a person who lives here. 34 listings on this page.
The charter desk
Make the charters come to you
Tell Amelia what kind of day you want and she will work out inshore or offshore with you, then pass it to the island's captains so they come back with dates and their own prices.
Or scroll on and read the 34 listings yourself.
Grouped by the water each one is described as fishing. Plenty of these captains run either kind of day depending on the forecast, so it is always worth asking.
Inshore and backwater
The creeks and flats behind the island. Calmer water, shorter runs, the usual answer with children or first-timers aboard.
