Island guide

Where to eat on Amelia Island

The question that decides dinner is not which kitchen is best. It is what kind of evening you are having. Water view or walkable downtown. Kids along, or a table for two. Flip-flops off the beach, or somewhere that asks a little more of you. The groups below sort by that, because a rating never knows who is coming to dinner. One practical note: kitchens here close earlier than visitors expect, especially early in the week and off season. Where we have hours we say where they came from and when we checked. Where we don't, we say so rather than guess.

Checked and updated by a person who lives here. 94 listings on this page.

The dining desk

Ask for the evening, not a list

Tell Amelia who's coming and what kind of night it is. She answers from the island's own listings — with hours and where they came from, when we hold them — plus the two things no review site knows: tonight's actual sunset for a water-view table, and the weather for a patio.

Free · No card

Or scroll on and read the 94 listings yourself.

Grouped by the question people actually ask, not by cuisine. Plenty of these fit more than one group — a waterfront seafood house sits under the water rather than under seafood — so read the neighbors of any group you open.

On the water

Tables with the view — the river side of the island is where the sunset is. Book or arrive early in season; these fill first.
